The Bubs love to color, and this makes me happy, for the most part. However, I'm not so excited about them coloring with crayons when I find this . . .

Afton's New Do

The day before the Bubs' birthday, I stopped off at my parents' house after their 2 year checkup. (By the way, current stats: Both in 50th percentile for height, 25th for weight, and 10th for head circumference) When it was time to pack up and leave, we discovered a lack of pigtails on the back of Afton's head. 4-year-old cousin Penelope was summoned and the truth revealed - Afton had taken a trip to Penelope Lott Salon! The good news is that the twins are now much easier to tell apart. Afton has a little bob and Maeryn's got the pigtails. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Well, the Bubs celebrated their 2nd birthday on February 5th. Can you believe it?! Time flies! We had a little celebration at my parents' house. Afton particularly liked being sung to and began to rock back and forth energetically, when she was a bit too energetic and bonked her head on the table! So, she's sporting a nice little birthday bruise. Maeryn seemed a little out of sorts, so when she threw up all over herself and me and Afton and just about everything else during dinner, I guess the mystery was solved. We stripped down the Bubs, Maeryn seemed much better (I think she had a case of too many sweets), and they had a good ol' time dancing with their cousins Ruby and Anna on the coffee table in the living room. (Don't worry Mom, we hurried and got them off after we discovered their mischief, but we snapped a few pictures to capture the moment). So, quite the birthday! Fortunately, both Bubs are just fine despite the head-bonk and the vomit. Thanks to Tim and Kenna for cleaning up the mess - I am forever in your debt!

For this life event, I thought I'd copy a friend and recap the past two years. We've come a long way!

Garrek the Hero

On Saturday, my 12-year old nephew, Garrek, saved my little neice, Anna, when the Lott home caught on fire. We are SO proud of Garrek and SO grateful that no one was harmed.
